We're most giddy to announce our first user-generated contest to help you add some personal flair to our already gorgeous user interface. We've already been offering skin customization tools to our users, and the results are not only tremendously popular, they allow us to sit back, relax, and watch you guys do all the left-brained fun stuff. Now we're feeling a bit indebted and have decided to give you something back for your efforts. Specifically, a $300 Apple Store Gift Card to the smoothest, slickest design, as determined democratically by usage on our app. Runner up submissions will be awarded $25 iTunes Gift Cards, iPhone Bluetooth headsets, and of course the ability to be globally viewed on our site. Plus you'll have people worldwide flicking your skin. That should make you a bit giddy too.

• Once you've created your skin according to the guidelines on the Developer Page and have adhered to the Rules and Terms, email your skin in a zip file, along with your name to: support@flickim.com by 11:59AM PST on September 6, 2007

• At the close of the submission period for the Contest, judges selected by the Sponsor will review all entries received to ensure they are functional and meet all of the guidelines. If your entry meets these guidelines, it will be placed in our selection of skins on September 7, 2007 at 5:00PM. The user-submitted skin that receives the most use (as defined below) will receive 1st place. 2nd place will go to the user-submitted skin that receives the 2nd highest amount of use, and 3rd place will go to the user-submitted skin that receives the 3rd highest amount of use. Use of the skin will be measured as follows:
• At the end of each day (commencing on September 7, 2007 and ending on September 14, 2007), Sponsor will take a snapshot of all AIM accounts that logged in that day and determine the last skin used for each account and give one point to the user-submitted skin. Each of scores from each of the days will be added up and used to come up with the final score for each user-submitted skin. The user-submitted skin with the most points at the end of the contest will receive 1st place, followed by 2nd place for the 2nd most points and 3rd place goes to the user-submitted skin with the 3rd most amount of points. For example: If a user logs into FlickIM on September 1 and picks three different skins to use throughout the day, the last skin used that day by that AIM screen name will receive credit for the contest for that day. If the same user logs into FlickIM on September 2, the last skin used that day will count as well.

At the end of the contest at 11:59 AM PST September 7, 2007, all approved skins will be displayed on www.flickim.com for users to vote. Voting will commence on September 7, 2007 and will end on September 14 at 11:59PM. The winners will be announced by September 17th.
